Qualifications Register Facts and Figures for July 2020
The HKCAAVQ is appointed as the QR (Qualifications Register) Authority under the Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications Ordinance (Cap 592) to maintain the QR – the free web-based database carrying the qualifications recognised under the Qualifications Framework. The statistics of the QR for July 2020 is as below:

INQAAHE capacity building project: Toolkit to support quality assurance agencies to address academic integrity and contract cheating
The new Toolkit was developed as the result of an International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) Capacity Building Project; and also the work of the Steering Group formed under the Quality Beyond Boundaries (QBBG).
The QBBG project steering group members comprise:
Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai
Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), United Kingdom
Committee for Private Education, Skills Future Singapore
Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), Hong Kong SAR, The People’s Republic of China
Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Malaysia
Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), United States
This Academic Integrity Toolkit has been designed to support quality assurance agencies implement a cycle of activities to enhance their sector’s academic integrity frameworks. The toolkit brings together examples from higher education providers, quality assurance agencies and other groups committed to promoting academic integrity. A list of high quality resources is provided at the end of this toolkit.

Appointment of Deputy Executive Director (VPET)
The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) announced today (24 July) its appointment of Dr Chiu Sau-mee as the new Deputy Executive Director (VPET) with effect from 1 September 2020. For more information, please refer to Press Release.

HKCAAVQ Forum on “Meeting the Challenges with Quality Assurance, Quality Enhancement and Excellence – From Contingencies to Norms” would be rescheduled from 29 July 2020 to 21 October 2020.

The Qualifications Register (QR) website (http://www.hkqr.gov.hk) will be undergoing system maintenance on 18 July 2020 from 21:30 to 22:30, and there will be ad hoc suspension of the QR during the maintenance period. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
