The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) is delighted to announce the successful renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korean Skills Quality Authority (KSQA) in December 2023. The renewed MoU was officially signed by Dr Youngsup Choi, Executive Director of KSQA, and Mr Albert Chow, Executive Director of HKCAAVQ.
HKCAAVQ and KSQA share similar missions and institutional objectives, with a mutual interest in the development and promotion of good practices in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Since the initial signing of the MoU in August 2020, both agencies have committed to operate further for the benefit of both parties and to work towards enhancing the quality of higher education and VET in Republic of Korea and Hong Kong.
During the signing ceremony, the latest developments of HKCAAVQ and KSQA were shared respectively, and both parties expressed their eagerness to foster close collaboration and explore opportunities for future in-person meetings.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by representatives of KSQA, including Dr Keewoo YI, Director of Planning and Management Team, Mr Minkyu LEE, Director of Center for Training Institution Accreditation, and Ms Sinhyea SON, Assistant Manager of Planning and Management Team, as well as representatives of HKCAAVQ, including Dr Joe HONG, Deputy Executive Director (Academic), Dr CHIU Sau-mee, Deputy Executive Director (Vocational and Professional Education and Training), Ms Claudia LAM, Head of Executive Support and Corporate Communications, and Ms Lizt WONG, Deputy Head and Registrar of Vocational and Professional Accreditation.
